“Caring for you” rather than “care”

Living at Ravensworth Lodge, you will feel safe, secure and reassured, knowing that care is available 24 hours a day. This is supervised by our senior care team and delivered by our fully trained, competent, and caring staff. 

You will have a care plan that will be discussed regularly and agreed with you to meet your needs including a ‘keep in touch’ plan so we can make sure you keep in touch with  family and friends either by visits, telephone, or video calls. 

Your care plan could include personal assistance with dressing, bathing, administration of medication, support with activities that you enjoy all delivered with dignity and respect.   

Care plans are carried by staff throughout their shift on a handset, so your care and needs can be checked at all times. Care staff will record everything immediately on their handset allowing them to make sure that everything you need is delivered to plan. That includes even the little things like reminding staff you like your favourite biscuit with your mid-morning cuppa.  The system can also create alerts to ensure staff carry out your requests and needs on time every time. 

Your medical cover is provided by your own doctor, or we can suggest another should you wish. We will make appointments for you and liaise with district nurses and other care professionals. All prescriptions are organised and collected for you as is transport to and from hospital visits as required. 

Your visitors will be made welcome at any time, day or night and are invited to join in the life of the home. 

We operate on an infrared call-bell system: these are situated throughout the home, including individual bedrooms and bathrooms, so we can quickly attend to anyone who requires assistance. As a resident you would also be allocated a pendant, which we encourage you to wear so you can call for help, should you need it.
